Manipulated?

According to sources, pop legend Michael Jackson feared someone would kill him not long before he died.

The 50 year-old was reportedly terrified someone would kill him for his money or the music publishing rights he owned, including his own work and over 200 Beatles songs in their back catalogue.

Brian Oxman, the Jackson family lawyer said: “He feared somebody would want to kill him. He was even concerned people would kill him to somehow try to take control of the Beatles back catalogue.”

Oxman also claims that family members believed Michael was being kept in a drugged state so people could easily manipulate him.

A Stomach Full Of Drugs

He said: “He appeared to be taking a variety of strong narcotics and many of these drugs were obtained in the names of his staff and associated.

“While the people around him insist they were acting in his best interest, the drugs were used to control and manipulate Michael – and the drugs eventually killed him.

“His family has asked Los Angeles police to investigate. A team has already started probing his finances”

An autopsy on the star didn’t state the cause of his death, but ruled out foul play. However, a leaked report of the autopsy reveals the contents of his stomach was purely drugs.

Police Search Jacksons’ Mansion

These drugs include pain killers, anti-anxiety tablets, anti-depressants and various muscle relaxants including Xanax, Paxil, Demerol and Zoloft.

Following this, Jackson’s family demanded a private autopsy which yielded no more conclusive information.

However, the family has a right to be worried after a search of Jacksons home revealed the drug Propofol which is used on surgery patient as a sedative that is given via an intravenous drip and can only be gained by people in the medical profession and never proscribed for home use.

The LA County Coroner’s officials have not officially confirmed finding this drug, but officials did enter Michaels house around noon and left with two plastic bags after looking for “controlled substance and paraphernalia – in particular needles”.

Killer Cocktail?

It has been claimed that Propofol mixed with other painkillers can cause a cardiac arrest. On top of this, the number of different medications he was taking at the time of his death, even without Propofol, could have also caused a cardiac arrest.

The registered nurse and nutritionist that worked with Michael in order to get in shape for his London comeback shows claims the star was an insomniac that often sought help by asking her to proscribe Diprivan – the brand name for Propofol.

“He wasn’t looking to get high or feel good and sedated from drugs. This was a person who was not on drugs. This was a person who was seeking help, desperately, to get some sleep, to get some rest.”

The LAPD are also looking to talk to Michael’s dermatologist Arnold Klein and Dr, Conrad Murray, his personal physical regarding the drugs as part of their investigation.

These pictures will go down in history as the last and most memorable of the late great Michael Jackson – taken just 48 hours before he died.

These new photographs have newly appeared in the public arena showing the pop legend rehearsing for his comeback tour, looking strong and healthy, performing his heart out.

Jackson appears tall and powerful on stage, sporting a finger point salute to the would-be audience. There were no signs that he would soon and suddenly pass away.

The images prove Michael was fighting fit and fully capable of pulling off the show of a lifetime with his infamously cool moonwalk and stage slides as he led his energy fuelled back-up dancers.

The photos also show a nod towards old school Jackson days with him wearing a trade mark hat complete with ponytail scraped back.

He was seen to be really enjoying the rehearsals, laughing and joking with the crew, bursting with energy – it beggars belief that he would be dead in just 48 hours.

Jackson’s young dancers were no competition for him as the 50 year old led the way with his amazing dance moves.

The impressive background reveals a urban factory structure containing even more lucky dancers, slinking about in window frames. A slogan billowed proudly down reading ‘This Is It’ – the name of Michael’s tour.

More photos show the star smiling away as he rehearses his essential back catalogue.

A member of the final rehearsal told The Sun, ‘Michael was in better former than for years. He was preparing for what would have been an absolutely incredible show.’

‘He was laughing and joking with his dancers. He seemed to have so much energy – it’s hard to believe 48 hours later he was dead.’

Kevin Mazur, the photographer who took the final images of the world’s biggest star, said, “When he hit the stage I was thrilled that the magical Michael Jackson was back.”

There is now discussions over the final footage being edited together to be screened to heartbroken fans who would never get to see that final show.

A devastated Janet Jackson appeared in public for the first time since her brother Michael Jackson died on Thursday, when she came together with a plethora of other celebrities to commemorate the undisputed King of Pop’s colourful life.

The pop star found it difficult to keep it together as she gave thanks to everyone for their support during a speech at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards in Los Angeles.

Joining her at the awards show was another member of the Jackson family, Joe Jackson, Michael’s father. He took a seat in the front row at the Shrine Auditorium as one star after another went up to say a few words about the pop legend and the historical stamp he has made in the music industry.

The BET awards ceremony was not originally being held in memory of Michael Jackson but organisers made the decision that it should be all about him shortly after hearing of his untimely death on Thursday. It was to be a celebration of his life and music.

“When we heard that he had passed, we knew we had to revamp this year’s show and make it special for him,” BET’s chief executive Debra Lee said.

The star studded event was hosted by the Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx.

He got the show off to a flying start as a Jackson 5 tune boomed throughout the auditorium as he slinked onto the stage wearing a quintessentially Michael Jackson red leather jacket complete with white glove as he demonstrated his moonwalk moves.

Speaking to the glitzy audience, Foxx said, “No need to be sad. We want to celebrate this black man. We gonna go through all of Michael Jackson.”

Celebrating his music was not hard as they played all of his classic hits throughout the evening with different acts taking part in the performances, with award winners barely getting a look in on the tribute night.

Guests were given the opportunity to go up to reminisce over fond memories and thoughts of the troubled legend.

Michael Jackson, the undisputed “King of Pop” has died, aged 50, after suffering from a fatal cardiac arrest. The world is in shock as news of his death circulates the international community and tributes for the troubled star pour in.

Jackson was in his rented Los Angeles mansion in the exclusive Holmby Hills area, when he collapsed. Paramedics rushed him to hospital but doctors could not save him, and he died at 2.26pm (2126 GMT).

Jackson, whose career spans four decades, was considered to be one of the most iconic and influential musicians of all time, and his album “Thriller” has sold more copies of any other album across the world. The singer was preparing for a comeback and much awaited string of concerts in London next month, which was expected to be his last live tour.

News of the star’s death has ignited grief from all corners of the world from celebrities, foreign governments and adoring fans.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office, Leiutenant Fred Corral, confirmed that an autopsy was expected to be carried out today, but refused to suggest the exact cause of death.

Jermaine Jackson – Michael’s older brother and the official Jackson spokesman, told the press that doctors had desperately spent an hour trying to revive the singer after he arrived at the UCLA Medical Center, before he was pronounced dead.

“Our family requests that the media please respect our privacy during this tough time,” Jermaine Jackson said. “May Allah be with you, Michael, always.”

As the day drew to an end in LA, a coroner’s office helicopter, carrying Jackson’s body departed from the UCLA Medical Center, as throngs of fans and media watched below.

Security had to be stepped up at Jackson’s home with an increased police presence as crowds began to gather round the gates.

Another iconic pop star – Madonna – was amongst the many celebrities finding the news hard to deal with, “I can’t stop crying over the sad news,” the singer said in a statement. “The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever!”

Jackson’s first wife, Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, was lost for words when she heard the news of his death.

“I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family,” Presley told MTV News in a statement.

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband also added his thoughts on micro-blogging site Twitter. “Never has one soared so high and yet dived so low. RIP Michael,” Miliband wrote.

A 49 year old tourist from Dallas, Lana Brown, collapsed in fits of tears when she heard of his death, “Right today, I can’t believe we might have lost the best entertainer this world has ever seen,” she told AFP.

Jackson’s death made the top story in China on websites like Soho.com and Sina.com which referred to him as the “most remarkable singer ever.”

Robbie Williams is under scrutiny from the Bahamian police after it was revealed two paparazzi members were robbed at gunpoint. 

Two photographers were attacked and robbed shortly after getting into a confrontation with Williams’ crew when they attempted to snap the star with zoom lenses. 

Reports reveal that the pair’s room was broken into by four armed men and $20,000 of camera equipment was stolen. 

At the time of the fight involving the photographs Williams had been lounging on a private beach smoking a roll up. 

The ex Take That singer was on a luxury holiday at the time with his girlfriend Ayda Field, his dad Pete Conway and two other couples. 

Although the Millennium singer is not being treated as a suspect he was wanted for questioning. Said Superintendent Ellsworth Moss, head of the detective unit at the Royal Bahamas Police Force. 

“We don’t think he was the one who actually committed the robbery, but it may have been a spinoff or may have been triggered by what reportedly happened with his party on the beach,” he said.  

The detective added that depending upon the line of inquiry, Williams may be required to remain on the island. 

Mr Moss said, ‘We’ll make a determination as to whether he can help us or not.’

Claims emerge that there is DNA evidence left behind in the photographers’ cottage as one of the robbers allegedly cut himself on a broken window on the way out, leaving blood behind on the sheets and shards of glass.

Other evidence recovered was a handgun discovered outside the cottage. Splash News reporterMatt Sanchez tells The Sun of their frightening ordeal,  ‘We were in fear for our lives. Carlos had a gun put to his head the entire time and we were threatened if we tried to look up from the floor.’

He went on to talk about the ‘nightmare’ they faced and how, “We could have been shot dead.”

Williams London representatives did not answer a phone call to give their response.

There are now three men in custody in connection with the case. No further details of the progress were revealed, as the investigation continues.

Dumped And Devastated!

Less than two months before she was due to be married, Rachel Hunter has reportedly been dumped by her fiancé.

The model who is now 39 is thought to have been dumped by 27 year old toy-boy and ice hockey star Jarret Stoll after he walked out on her giving her no explanation for the break. He also emailed guests due to attend the wedding on August 14th to tell them that the wedding was not going ahead.

According to a British tabloid newspaper, Rachel is devastated. “Everything was in place for their wedding – she had the venue, the designer dress, the guest list.

“She has absolutely no idea why Jarret has done this. It sounds like it could be a classic case of cold feet. He is a fair bit younger than her,” a friend says.

It is thought that Rachel is seeking comfort from her ex-husband, famous singer Rod Stewart, after reportedly telling a friend that Rod has been “amazing through all of this – a real support.”

Seeking Support

Rachel and Rod have two children together – Renee, 17, and Liam, 14. They married in 1990, but split after nine years, finalising their divorce in 2006.

Their children are said also be devastated at the news that their mother’s relationship, that began in 2006, is over.

Rachel and Jarret lived together in their whopping £3.3 million mansion in California and got engaged last August.

Though in many relationships, a big age gap such as theirs can cause problems, Rachel has previously insisted that it wasn’t a problem for them.

She previously said: “It obviously isn’t an issue for us because we wouldn’t be getting married if it was a problem. Of course you talk about it but it was a very easy conversation.”

Maybe in the end it was more of an issue than she realised!

Rap star Chris Brown has admitted to beating his ex-girlfriend, RnB sensation, Rihanna, as he pleads guilty in court.

All eyes were on him in Los Angeles Superior Court, as Brown admitted to one count of assault during an argument, which took place mere hours before the pair were due to perform at the Grammy Awards.

Brown’s lawyers arranged a plea bargain with prosecutors, where he will serve five years probation and give six months of community service.

In addition the judge had already ruled that Brown and Rihanna do not come any closer than 50 yards within each other, apart from industry events where the distance is 10 yards.

The incident occurred on February 8, when the 20 year old singer was arrested after attending a party in Los Angeles. According to police reports, the argument happened in a car when Rihanna found a text message from another woman to Brown’s mobile.

Brown’s lawyer tried to redeem some of Brown’s reputation by claiming the fact he has pleaded guilty shows he is accepting responsibility for his actions which included beating, choking and biting Rihanna.

“This is a kid who’s never been in trouble before. He embraces this as chance to get the message out that domestic violence will not be tolerated. He wants to get his life back on track,” the lawyer said.

After the event photographs of the star’s badly beaten face were leaked onto the internet.

In court in LA, Rihanna had been on standby to give evidence.

Revered and infamous Britain’s Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle wowed audiences last night when she performed on the live talent show tour. She had an overwhelming response from the crowd complete with a standing ovation.

The 48 year old singing star has been unable to perform in all of the scheduled live shows, missing two in Nottingham on Saturday in order to slot in rest time after the pressure and stress of her new celebrity life takes its toll.

However, she returned in style on Sunday, giving two performances to the adoring crowds at Wembley Arena in North West London.

She sang her heart out with her semi-final song, Memories from the musical Cats as well as the now quintessential Boyle tune, I Dreamed A Dream, from the musical Les Miserables, which propelled her status as an international singing star after she sung it on her first audition for Britain’s Got Talent.

Boyle attracted fans from far and wide after belting out the powerful song, leaving the judges and audience stunned at her surprising talent.

A spokeswoman for the show said after Boyle’s second appearance, “They were on their feet for her. It was a standing ovation.”

She added that winners of the show, dance group, Diversity were also rewarded with standing ovations from the loyal fans.

Boyle, who was expected to win the show by a landslide, received respite and care in The Priory Clinic in central London shortly after the shock loss.

Judge on the show, Piers Morgan, spoke for Boyle, saying the 48 year old church volunteer from Blackburn, West Lothian was in much need of some reflective peace after feeling emotionally drained and tired out from the whole process.

Her audience performance was viewed by millions of people the world over on the YouTube and film star Demi Moore and singer Elaine Paige were among her celebrity fans.

OK, so it has never been a secret that pop royalty Beyonce Knowles earns a whole load of mullah for her many endeavors and enterprises – but the extent of said mullah has not ever been fully disclosed – until now that is!

Yes, it seems the young, Sasha Fierce singer was in fact the highest earning star under 30 last year after details of her account were released, revealing she pulled in a jaw dropping £53 million in 12 short months (wouldn’t you just hate her if she wasn’t so damned fabulous?!)

So, how did she go about making her millions over the last year? Well, here’s a how to guide (ha ha). She raked in the majority of her lovely green stuff with album sales and endorsements with £13 million from the albums and an additional £12 million for the latter.

To add to the very rich mix, she netted £9 million for her dabblings in the fashion world. On top of that the bling-loving 27 year old wife of Jay-Z topped her fortunes up with an extra £8 million from touring merchandise and a further £5 million from music publishing. Hoo-eee!

Oh, and that’s not to mention the £3 million she pocketed for her film roles and £2.5 million from tour sponsors.

Well, no-one can accuse the girl of being lazy – she has managed to squeeze in an insurmountable amount of work that only someone with hired help could juggle! She did two films, released a double album, sang at both the Oscars and the unforgettable Obama Inaugural Ball, oh yeah and is in the middle of a 110 date international tour.

Uh, and finally, not forgetting the launch of her own line of clothes, jewellery and sunglasses while she was sitting at home not wanting to twiddle her thumbs.

It looks like Katie Price is giving a nod to her former wild child persona as reports emerged that the threatened to ‘cut’ a female fan whilst painting the town all kinds of colours in Ibiza.

The supposed accusation was made whist Jordan was out living it large, downing vodkas, stripping off naked in a nightclub and referring to another female fan as ‘ugly’.

The model decided to make a big statement about her marriage to Peter Andre being over once and for all by apparently swapping saliva with two men during her escapades at Eden nightclub in San Antonio.

One by-stander said, “She was wasted. The night got weirder by the minute.”

The witness claimed that Price started with the violent knife threats after she was approached by a female fan inside the club (something tells me she won’t be a fan any longer!)

Seemingly Katie lost it when the woman went to say hello to her idol with as the tabloid favourite started screaming obscenities like, “I’m going to cut you up. Seriously, I am going to cut you”.

She went on to point her finger in the woman’s face, carrying on with her violent threats.

An insider said to the Daily Mail, “It was a clear reference to knives and everyone just looked at each other shell-shocked.”

More violence was to come when a couple of males in Jordan’s group rammed another man into a wall, supposedly trying to take his eyes out before kicking him to the ground.

It seems trouble had been on the horizon earlier on when after a Ting Tings gig, Jordan said to a fan capturing a picture of her, “’I should let you know that you’re really ugly.”

Witnesses claim that when Price got inside the club she began getting up close and personal with two male friends, one being the model Anthony Lowther before moving on to another hunky specimen.

Her outrageous behaviour continued as she necked back the champagne, vodka, mixers and whiskey before doing some stripper moves at the DJ booth, flashing her G-string and DD breasts for all and sundry to see.

Her crazy night all came t a head at 4.45am when she was given a piggy back ride home to her hotel room in the five star Es Vive Hotel near Ibiza Town.
