Following their recent split, X-Factor judge and creator Simon Cowell, is to give his ex Terri Seymour a ‘modest’ £6 million as a “goodbye gift”.

The Daily Mail has reported that the man everyone loves to hate is going all soft on us, having already parted with £3 million of his hard earned pennies.

Cowell is estimated to be worth a smooth £130 million - so it will be no skin off his nose to provide Seymour with an additional £2.3 million to set her up in a nice ‘little’ Beverly Hills mansion - near his £20 million LA palace.

Reports came in last week about the end of the pair’s six year relationship, following an irreconcilable difference of opinion when it came to marriage and children (i.e. Cowell didn’t want them).

Cowell commented, “I know some find it hard to fathom, but it’s who I am,”

“Bottom line is, I’m married to my job. She wants a different path in life, I totally respect that.”

“Everything’s fine between me and Terri - we’re still friends. I’ve always been very close to all my ex-girlfriends. We’ve never fallen out - they’re like my best friends.”

Reports say that the generous gesture was not meant to be a bribery tactic to prevent Seymour from telling all the juicy details about their thwarted relationship, but merely a “thank you” gift.

Seymour’s people are denying that the former model and TV presenter had received any such £3 million as a “parting gift”.
