Desperate Housewives actor injured in Accident
29 Year old actor, Jesse Metcalfe, is most famous for his role in Desperate Housewives as sexy John Rowland, Gabrielle and Carlos’ gardener who was also (in true Desperate Housewives style!) having an affair with Gabby in Series One of the show.
He is now in hospital recovering from a nasty 40 foot fall from a balcony at the after show party for the World Music Awards at top nightspot Jimmy’z in Monaco, France.
He was apparently sitting on the ledge of the balcony when he accidentally fell backwards over the edge and landed face down, unconscious on the ground.
He has fractured his leg, and is currently in a wheelchair because he can barely walk. But an MRI scan has confirmed that, luckily, he has no brain damage.
His spokesman has said: “Jesse knows he’s had a very lucky escape. The accident could have been fatal.
“It was a very scary experience for him and those of us who saw him. It was a nasty fall.
“I have just come from the hospital and he is bearing up OK, He can barely walk as he hasn’t got much movement in his legs.”
After the accident, which happened on Sunday, he was rushed hospital in Monaco, but since then has been transferred to North London hospital, where he is still recuperating from his potentially fatal fall.
Sunday generally wasn’t a good day for the actor as it has been reported that he was extremely annoyed with the organisers of the Music awards ceremony, after he was left stranded on stage because a video he was meant to be introducing wasn’t ready.
He was also kept waiting or two hours due to the start of the show being delayed.
A source has said: “Jesse was a little frustrated as he thought the production side of things was shambolic and disorganised. A lot of things happened that shouldn’t have.”
I think he will agree now, that in the grand scheme of things, being left stranded on stage and being delayed by two hours is not so important anymore!
We’re all wishing you a speedy recovery Jesse!
