Rap extraordinaire Kanye West has been arrested after a brawl in a glamorous nightclub in Newcastle.

The 31 year old superstar was arrested on a night out last night, after fighting broke out at the Tup Tup Palace cocktail bar in Newcastle.

The rapper had performed to adoring fans earlier that evening at the city’s Metro Arena, as part of his Glow In The Dark UK tour.

A police spokesman said, “We can confirm that a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident at a Newcastle city centre nightclub in the early hours of this morning.

“He was released without charge and no further police action is being taken.”

The recently re-vamped Tup Tup Palace has re-launched with new pictures on their website, displaying vampish hot young things, scantily dressed and messily entwined.

A representative for the club confirmed that West was indeed on the guest list last night.

“He was here from about 1am to 2am with all his crew,” the spokesman said.

“We had two of his DJs playing and Kanye had the whole VIP area booked out. He left about 2am and went to his hotel.

“We have no knowledge of any incident inside or outside.”

Tup Tup Palace’s facebook page named dropped just a few of the famous faces that have graced their walls since opening, saying it has turned into, “a regular haunt for the likes of Girls Aloud, Dizzee Rascal,
Ricky Hatton, Boyzone, Lethal Bizzle, Mike Ashley, Bryn Christopher, Alan Shearer and just about every football team from Scotland to London!!”.
