John & Edward Pull In Most Phone Votes
They may have been referred to as ‘little horrors’ on more than one occasion by the all mighty Simon Cowell, but those cheeky little Irish twins - John and Edward Grimes - aka ‘Jedward’ (oh my god), it seems, managed to win over the hearts of X Factor fans all over the country, as reports reveal they pulled in the most number of votes. What is up with that Britain?
In fact it is not just the public falling for their Irish charm, as celebrity fans like Westlife, Robbie Williams and Noel Gallagher sing their praises for the dynamic duo and their journey on the X Factor so far.
In fact, even producers are shocked at the effect the 18 year old identical twins are having on the nation, with record numbers phoning in, despite them, well not even being able to keep in tune…
A source from the show revealed, “It is extraordinary. John and Edward were miles ahead of any other act.
“Whoever wins the X Factor, you can usually guarantee they can sing. If John and Edward win, it will no longer be a show about great singers – it could be disastrous. But you know what? It could happen.’
If it did, it would be Simon Cowell’s worse nightmare, but the best possible news for their coach, Louis Walsh.”
He said, ‘Kids love these guys – everywhere I go they come up to me and tell me they think they’re great.’
However, the awful sounding insanely funny pair are not without their haters too. There has even been a facebook group set up with no fewer than 100,000 members capaigning to get rid of them once and for all.
Well, it seems the idea of giving the public the power to determine who wins the singing competition is really not such a great one… I mean who would actually by a record by these kids? OK they’re not horrible people, but they are terrible singers! Come on Britain - sit up and keep the good singers in!
