‘Mrs C’ to be removed?

Rumours emerged yesterday that Cheryl Cole is planning to remove her infamous ‘Mrs C’ neck tattoo. Although the Girls Aloud star has been on and off with Ashley Cole for several years now, her ‘Mrs C’ tattoo has remained throughout.

Love rat Ashley has been in and out of Cheryl’s life for the past couple of years, since he cheated on her with numerous women. Cheryl took Ashley back on many different occasions to try and make their marriage work. Unfortunately Ashley lived up to his bad boy reputation by cheating on Cheryl again and again.

But is this the final straw for Cheryl? Having this tattoo removed could be her last step to moving on from Ashley.

Even though the couple are divorced, Cheryl initially kept the tattoo claiming she is not ashamed of it and doesn’t regret it. Recent reports have said that she hoped to give Ashley another chance, as they are still very close and speak nearly every day. So whether or not she is ready to let go is still to be seen.

Cheryl’s friends, family and fans question why she keeps going back to Ashley, despite his antics. With news that she plans to remove her tattoo could bring them hope that she is ready to move on. How she plans to go about it is yet to be confirmed, it could either be laser removal or an added ink design.

As not much has been reported from camp Cheryl in recent months, is this revelation another media frenzy to get her back in the papers or is Cheryl actually ready to move on with her life. Is the removal of her tattoo a New Year’s resolution and a new Cheryl?

With new projects on the horizon, plans of Girl’s Aloud performing working together again and performing at the Olympics and yesterday’s launch of L’Oreal’s new Cheryl Cole advertising campaign for their new mascara. Maybe 2012 is the year we see a new Cheryl, rid of Ashley and moving on to bigger and better things.

Cheryl Cole Breaks Down in Interview

Reports have been released that Cheryl Cole was pleading to withdraw from her interview with Piers Morgan, just moments before the show began.

According to such reports, Piers had to step in to calm the singer and X-Factor judge down.

Discussing her near encounter death after contracting malaria and her divorce from England and Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole was proving to be too close to the bone for Cheryl.

She allegedly “burst into tears” and began shaking as she revealed to Piers: “I’m a nervous wreck, I don’t know if I can do this.”

However, Piers comforted her be promising he would “look after her” throughout the interview, which notched up record figures of 8 million viewers for the ‘Life Stories’ show.

Piers explained: “I arrived at the studio at 4pm and went to Cheryl’s dressing room and I could tell something wasn’t quite right. ‘You OK?’ I asked.

“She looked up at me, shook her head, and promptly burst into tears. She said: ‘I don’t know if I can do this.’ I told her: ‘You don’t have to. But I think you should.

“‘Do it once, tell the truth about all the speculation, then never discuss it again and get on with your life.’

“Those who think Cheryl is a fake, manipulative celebrity with no real feelings, should have seen this trembling, crying, vulnerable young woman in that moment.

“‘I’ll look after you out there,’ I promised. ‘I know how hard this is for you.’ ‘You’ve no idea,’ she whispered, tears still streaming down her face. ‘This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. I feel like I’m going to throw up at any moment.’”

Piers joked: “Can you save that for when we’re out there?”

This brought a laugh from Cheryl and she began to relax.

Piers continued: “During the interview, Cheryl wept often, and I felt a pretty large lump in my throat myself a few times.”

Fans of the Girls Aloud singer were hooked throughout the show, which demolished the previous high rating interview of 5.2m with Katie Price.

“She was remarkably candid, honest, genuine and dignified.

“She said hugging me: ‘That was torture but I’m glad I did it.’

“So am I. That was the real Cheryl, not the cartoon character people want her to be.”

Back to her best on Sunday’s X-Factor results show, Cheryl was given a standing ovation by the audience and her fellow judges.

She revealed to Dermot O’Leary that she was anxious: “I was nervous. But I really enjoyed it.”
